Re: Hansa 1
Hi Hans,
Thank you for your reply, are you sure that is the same vessel? The accomodation looks very different. According to my figures she should be around 85-90m long.

Re: Hansa 1
Andreas, that must be it!
Thank you very much! Do you have anymore information regarding her and the sisters of her class?
What did she do in the Kriegsmarine, and perhaps pictures?
I am very thankfull for this.
Cheers!

Re: Hansa 1
Hello Anders
Sorry but it would be too much to listen up all the storys behind the 52 build Hansa A Type vessels. In the book from G.U.Detlefsen all historys are written down as example the last Hansa A Type was scrapped 1988 after 42 years sailing for different companies. First name was "Yssel"
I have no info that the Hansa I was owned or rfunning by the Kriegsmarine. She was build as a Merchant vessel as replacement for lost cargo ships and was owned by Hamburg Süd.
may you will find somebody who has this book from G.U.Detlefsen or you are check out yourself where to get. But sorry to say it is only available in german language but histories fron Ships are consists mostly from dates names and other info which are easy to understand.
here as example you will find some Antiquariat www.zvab.com search for Detlefsen Deutsche Serienfrachter Band 1
one Antquariat is offering the book for 25€ another one for 76€
best regards
Andreas
