König Wilhelm II (buildt 1907 Stettiln)

Beitrag von wiking »

Hello dear shiplovers
I am new Danish member, and asking for your help....

I need informations and pictures of the passengership "König Wilhelm II, buildt 1907 i Stettin, in Vulcan Aktiengesellshft, for the German-America Linien.

I also look for "plans/drawings" ( where can I get souch, if posible ??)

I ned the material for af model, and for personaly interest for this paticular ship, because my garndfather worked on her as "matros" in 1913.
This ship had a long and changable "life" as German , and later US marine, until demolition in 1948, after 2x world war actions.

If anyone can help, I will be very happy.

best regards

Thank´s to "Globus" (no, it is not Kaiser Wilhelm II), to Daniel and til Peter Hartung, for answers and god links.

Otherwise, I have reseeved dimensions (149,48 Länge, 16,84 Breite, 9,47-10,36 Meter Tiefe) for planing my model.

About a plan/drawing of the ship:
Do someone know if it would be posible, to get a copy of the ship drawings somewhere. Could these plans still exist, maybee, and where....?

Globus mentions the "Kaiser Wilhelm II", and I know of a very beutiful model of this ship in Deutche Museum in München.

Still interested in fotos and info about the ship "König Wilhelm II" (primary as german ship)
thanks ...

Hej, Flemming!

Vulcan Stettin was closed due to bankruptcy in 1928 and resumed shipbuilding at Hamburg under management of Howaldtswerke (Werk Ross).

May be ship plans published in this book:

http://www.amazon.de/gp/offer-listing/3 ... dition=all

Hope this may help.
